After each pitch, the room asks questions, shares insights and assesses the opportunity collectively, so attendees learn angel investing by doing rather than just listening. Each AtVenture Angels community member is encouraged to bring one or two plus-ones who are interested in starting with angel investing and considering joining the community. This makes the event one of the few accessible entry points in NL for professionals who want to experience angel investing as a practice before committing to it themselves. AI House can also support this by giving the event exposure in your community. The format also sits at the intersection of three things the AI House cares about. Almost every founder we showcase is building an AI or tech-enabled startup, which gives the room a working understanding of where AI is actually being applied across sectors. The AtVenture Angels community is currently 60 women and 6 men, an unusual concentration of female angel capital in the Dutch ecosystem. And the event is built to broaden that pool further by lowering the threshold for new and aspiring angels to step in.
